ABC Digital Network, a division of Emirates Neon Group introduced a new media in communications to the Region. VPNs are a form of dynamic electronic signage that promise effective and efficient communication and makes redundant the costly mediums of poster and message boards.
LCD and Plasma screens can be fitted at any location within a building or complex and connected online to systems anywhere in the world, while giving the user full control of all content displayed on the screens, in short, VPNs act like your own private television channel.
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a private data network that makes use of the public telecommunication infrastructure; it also offers the highest level of security using advanced encryption and authentication protocols to protect data from unauthorised access. It features high definition display quality, flexible content presentation, proven reliability and industrial strength electronics.
ABC Digital Network's general manager, Nick Armstrong, says: 'This technology is the future - as this new era of business has become extremely demanding and companies realize that a fast response to changing market conditions is crucial for success.
'The interest from some of the World's most progressive organizations has been fantastic and, before long, I'm sure VPNs will become commonplace within medium and large sized organizations throughout the region.
'One of the most important aspects of VPNs is the ability to offer truly global communications, meaning multinational corporations can choose to disseminate consistent messages to employees or customers based in the GCC.'
ABC has already successfully penetrated the
UAE Market with more than 20 of Dubai's five star hotels opting for
VPN technology to enhance their communication. Companies who have already incorporated the technology include Emarat and the Kempinski chain of hotels amongst others.
